Affordable Maui Wedding Photography

Photography at your Maui wedding is very important. You want to return home with photos that you can rave about. My husband John Souter is our own in-house photographer who shoots most of our Maui wedding photography for our couples. That's one big reason why we can offer such great prices. John has shot about 1400 Maui weddings and is proficient both in film (35mm) and digital photography. He now shoots exclusively in digital because he can get much better results with the digital format. When he is taking a difficult shot while on the beach, he will know instantly if he has "captured" what he was trying to achieve. He loves the fact that he can "edit" his settings right on location in order to capture the best possible images. You will be very pleased by the Maui wedding photography that he takes at your wedding.

Using digital photography offers all sorts of other options for you, including editing the photos afterwards (cropping, straightening, sharpening, etc.). We also offer a special effects package where we can enhance your photos with a soft focus filter, add black and white, black and white mixed with color images, and many more special effects to enhance the finished look of your Maui wedding photography.

Wedding Photography Style

John shoots a lot of candid shots because he loves to catch our couples in those warm unguarded moments against the incredible Maui landscape. But more often than not, he poses our couples because that will give you the best possible images. Being a stickler for details, he notices all of those little things (like a few stray hairs or a lei that's out of place, etc.) so that you can look your best. We have found that a good pose can make you look more natural and spontaneous then if you are shot without posing.

The rapport which John will have with you as your Maui wedding photographer helps our couples express their warmth towards each other. He is especially good at establishing a positive relationship with each couple, helping them relax and be themselves. He is also quick to shoot pictures whenever they capture the essence of your relationship. He will take many more photographs than the number in your package so that the quality of the images stays high.
